Traditional Wasabi Farming
Shizuoaka Prefecture, JapanI conducted research for the landscape architect Julia Watson - author of the book Lo-TEK. For an article on indigenous agricultural systems that use natural technologies to increase biodiversity and produce food, I investigated the tatami’ishi traditional method of wasabi farming practiced in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture. Here are the drawings summarizing this research.
